Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Publius Sestius (ranked 2711 p4p, 325 weight class) and Peter Hare (ranked 2721 p4p, 326 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Publius Sestius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Hare!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sestius fails in his attempt to clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hare. Sestius does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sestius tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Hare paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sestius throws a head kick that misses
and Hare counters with a two punch combo.
Hare misses with a kick to the body
and Sestius cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Peter Hare has been cut.
Hare pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sestius is out of range and Hare settles back down.

Sestius takes the fight into the clinch.
Sestius creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Hare's defenses.
Sestius misses with a punch to the body.
Hare is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Hare avoids a wild elbow strike from Sestius.
A short right from Sestius on the inside.
Sestius trying to land knees to the body.
Hare misses with a shot to the kidneys.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Sestius creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Sestius.
Sestius lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Sestius lands a damaging elbow.

That has opened up Peter Hare's cut even more.
Hare swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hare avoiding damage as Sestius throws knees to the body.
Sestius lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Hare.
Hare blocking some punches.
A short uppercut from Sestius.
Hare misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hare takes a knee to the side of the body.
Hare looks winded!
Knees to the body from Sestius.
Hare takes an elbow to the forehead.

The cut above Peter Hare's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Sestius lands a knee to the body.
Sestius unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hare lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Sestius lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hare takes a shot to the head.

Peter Hare's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Sestius lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Hare.
Sestius lands a right hand.
Sestius comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Sestius obliges.
Sestius lands a knee to the body.
Sestius lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Sestius misses with a knee to the head.
Sestius pushes Hare back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hare lands a left hand that snaps the head of Sestius backwards.
Sestius lands with a right to the head.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Peter Hare's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Publius Sestius!
Publius Sestius looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Pain brother'.
