Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Smith!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Walker throws a good cross that connects.
Smith takes one to the side of the head.
Walker with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Walker thuds his right hand into Smith's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Walker throws a shot to the body.
Nice sprawl there from Walker as Smith shoots in.
Walker fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Derek Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walker throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Walker moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Smith has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Walker connects with the punch.
Walker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Smith shoots in and bounces Walker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Walker on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Walker tries to get out of the position.

Smith won't allow Walker to get back to his feet.

Smith postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Walker wants to get back to his feet but Smith is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Smith postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Walker is looking to stand back up but Smith counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Walker.
Walker wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Walker lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A lazy left from Walker finds it's target.
Walker fails to land with a series of punches.
Smith is trying hard to land a takedown here. Walker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Walker bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Smith's head backwards.
Smith takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Smith walks into a straight right hand from Walker.
Walker works Smith's body with a nice hook.

Walker looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Derek Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Smith.
Smith looks winded!

Smith takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Smith takes a jab right on the kisser.
Walker smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Smith with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Walker to score with a decent uppercut.
Walker scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Walker is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
A cross from Walker lands.
Walker lunges at Smith with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Smith's hand.
Walker lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


Smith is rocked!
Smith fails with the takedown
and Walker counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Walker finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Walker finds it's way round the side to connect with Smith's head.
Walker throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Smith crashing down! Smith tries to stagger back to his feet but Walker just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Smith asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Derek Walker!
Derek Walker spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
