The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Dejiorno finds it's way through El Shabazz's defenses.
Dejiorno throws a big shot that misses.
El Shabazz appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Dejiorno lands a left and a right that send El Shabazz crashing to the mat, dazed. Dejiorno thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Dejiorno fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dejiorno sets himself, and El Shabazz steps forward looking for the clinch! Dejiorno avoids it this time.
Fabio Dejiorno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
El Shabazz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
El Shabazz connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dejiorno momentarily.

Dejiorno has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The King's Road in the buildup to the fight.

El Shabazz moves into the clinch successfully.
El Shabazz unloads a knee to the mid-section.

El Shabazz lands a big knee to the head and Dejiorno goes down! El Shabazz pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
