Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Wu (ranked 4225 p4p, 340 weight class) and Dana Schwartz (ranked 2270 p4p, 230 weight class). The key to victory for Ryan Wu has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwartz needs to keep his hands up - Wu had a free shot at his head there.

Schwartz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wu was covering up waiting for the punch and Schwartz finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Schwartz lands a nice short elbow.
Wu has hold of Schwartz's hands but Schwartz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Wu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Schwartz lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Schwartz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wu with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Schwartz is nestled in close to Wu, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Schwartz uses his free foot to push down on Wu's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wu.
