The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shadow throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lizard was covering up waiting for the punch and Shadow finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Shadow keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lizard's head.
Lizard is trying to keep Shadow in close.
Shadow is looking to work some ground and pound but Lizard has wrist control.

Lizard wants to get back to his feet but Shadow is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shadow makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Shadow slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
What's Lizard going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Shadow in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
