Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Barzilla (ranked 3862 p4p, 140 weight class) and Brian Reaves (ranked 3278 p4p, 125 weight class). Barzilla comes to the cage accompanied by Ima Boss. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bubba Barzilla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Reaves!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barzilla closes the distance and clinches.

Reaves breaks from the clinch.

and Reaves counters with a stiff right hand.

Reaves closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reaves lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barzilla wants to stand and escape but Reaves is having none of it.

Barzilla stuffs the takedown attempt from Reaves. Reaves gets slowly back to his feet.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Reaves. Barzilla shrugs it off though.

Barzilla gets a clinch.
Barzilla tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Barzilla tries to work over Reaves's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Reaves breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Reaves lands a nice leg kick that just misses Barzilla's sensitive parts.

Barzilla looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Reaves looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Reaves shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Barzilla manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Barzilla is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Reaves is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Barzilla is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Reaves is controlling him.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Barzilla is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round but I would say that Bubba Barzilla will probably get the nod.

The crowd cheers as Reaves lands an impressive looking overhand right. Barzilla doesn't seem phased though.

Reaves has Barzilla pressed against the cage, preventing Barzilla from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Barzilla wants to break free but Reaves has control.
Reaves is trying to drag Barzilla to the mat but Barzilla just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Barzilla tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Reaves's elbow.

Reaves has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Barzilla after a bit of a struggle.

Barzilla is pressed up against the cage. Reaves has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Barzilla down to the mat. Barzilla avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Reaves shoots in for a double leg but Barzilla sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Barzilla appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Bubba Barzilla is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

It looked like Barzilla was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Barzilla misses with a few strikes there.
Reaves lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

enabling Reaves to counter with a crisp jab.
Barzilla throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Reaves closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've been informed that Reaves has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Barzilla wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Reaves remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Barzilla is controlling an arm, preventing Reaves from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Brian Reaves showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Some wild striking there from Barzilla.
Barzilla will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Barzilla throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reaves.
Reaves lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Reaves tries for a takedown but Barzilla sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Barzilla is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Reaves off and has taken his back!

Barzilla has the hooks in. Reaves is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Barzilla has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Reaves has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
