Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Biden (ranked 4272 p4p, 446 weight class) and Michael Kant (ranked 4899 p4p, 468 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biden will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kant! But no joy.
Kant tries to bum rush Biden with a series of wild strikes but Biden uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Biden loads up on a big right hand but Kant slips the punch.
Biden moves out of range as Kant strikes.
Kant lands with a cross.
Biden throws a big shot that misses.
Kant takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Biden throws an off balance right hand
and Kant counters with a stiff right hand.
Kant slips under a jab from Biden.
Kant looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kant misses with a looping left.
Joe Biden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Biden scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kant doesn't seem bothered though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like Michael Kant has been cut.
Biden misses with an uppercut. Kant saw that one coming.
Kant takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Biden staying out of range there.
Biden moves out of range of the strikes.
Biden is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Biden misses with a hook. Kant ducked under it nicely.
Kant slips a straight right by Biden.
We've been told by Biden's head coaches at Men Only. No Liberals ! that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Biden gets through Kant's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kant is still on wobbly legs! Can Biden finish him?
Biden tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Biden unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Kant! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Biden is unloading with more strikes now! Kant drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
