The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masuta takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Thomas connects with a body shot that sends Masuta 's belly button to the back.
Masuta ducks under a wild hook from Thomas.
Masuta is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Thomas lands a nice looking body shot.
Masuta defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Thomas.
Thomas missing with a left hand there. Masuta was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Masuta slips under a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thomas sizes up Masuta with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
A left lands for Thomas.

Masuta appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Thomas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Masuta momentarily.

Thomas shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Thomas cracks Masuta with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Masuta with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Thomas to score with a decent uppercut.

Thomas lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Masuta head around and knocks him out cold! Thomas hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
