Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tuan Fletcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cole Kibel!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kibel throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kibel explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Kibel throws a sloppy head kick and Fletcher moves out of range easily.

Fletcher clinches up with Kibel and pushes him back against the cage.
Fletcher wants to get back to striking at distance but Kibel won't allow it.
Fletcher fails to pull guard.
Kibel throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kibel prevents the takedown attempt.
Fletcher on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
A body shot lands from Fletcher.
Kibel with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Fletcher jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kibel walks away with a smile on his face. Fletcher gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tuan Fletcher. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Tuan Fletcher has been cut.
Fletcher steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kibel.
Kibel scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A head kick misses from Kibel.
Fletcher thinks about countering with a head kick.

Fletcher fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kibel, pushing him back against the cage.
A right hand to the body from Kibel.
Fletcher presses Kibel against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Fletcher's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kibel feints a jab promting Fletcher to slip. Kibel then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Fletcher slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Kibel rushes Fletcher and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kibel tries to land knees in the clinch but Fletcher avoids the damage to the body.

Fletcher jumps guard and drags Kibel to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fletcher pulls Kibel in close to prevent any damage.

Fletcher escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kibel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Fletcher isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kibel stacks Fletcher on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kibel!
Kibel wants to control for a moment but Fletcher uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Fletcher tries to roll over but Kibel keeps him under control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fletcher looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kibel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fletcher. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fletcher trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Kibel is keen to just control but Fletcher is a slippery customer.
Fletcher wants to control but Kibel is keeping busy.

Fletcher looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Fletcher is breathing heavily.
Kibel is trying to control the action in half guard but Fletcher is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fletcher keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Kibel wants to control but Fletcher is keeping him busy.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fletcher scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Kibel manages to mount him!
Fletcher is desperately trying to improve his position but Kibel has a good base and remains in mount.
Kibel trying to control but Fletcher is having none of it.
Fletcher's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Fletcher manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Fletcher has his hands clasped together around Kibel's back. He's all about the action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cole Kibel dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tuan Fletcher's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Fletcher avoids a punch combination nicely.
A little feinted left hand from Fletcher on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Fletcher really is a fat lump.
Nice uppercut lands for Kibel. That snapped Fletcher's head back.
Fletcher blocks a head kick by Kibel.

Kibel closes the distance and pushes Fletcher back into the cage.

Fletcher manages to break the clinch.
Kibel chopping away at his opponent's legs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kibel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fletcher manages to avoid it.
Kibel is looking to slow Fletcher down with leg kicks.
Kibel throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kibel walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Fletcher checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Kibel throws a head kick but Fletcher moves out of range.

Kibel rushes Fletcher and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kibel with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Kibel misses with a hook from the clinch.
Fletcher tries to break free but Kibel pushes him back against the cage.
Fletcher doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Kibel has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fletcher clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Kibel struggling to keep hold of the position.
Fletcher is trying to stand back up.

Fletcher manages to stand up with Kibel still on his back. Eventually Kibel drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kibel lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Fletcher moves into range and clinches up with Kibel.
Fletcher drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kibel pulls his leg out and moves away.
Cole Kibel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kibel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fletcher takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Cole Kibel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kibel clinches with his opponent.
Fletcher is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kibel is defending well for now.

Kibel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Fletcher tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kibel smiles and moves away.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Kibel! Fletcher is out on his feet! Kibel rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Fletcher is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Fletcher is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cole Kibel!
