Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demir Balic (ranked 2948 p4p, 341 weight class) and Meteor Blackhole (ranked 5146 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Demir Balic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Meteor Blackhole!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Balic.
Balic is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Blackhole's shoulder. That is not cool.
Blackhole is looking to regain half guard here but Balic keeps moving and retains side control.
Balic tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Balic has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Balic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blackhole keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Balic tries to move into full mount but can't pass Blackhole's legs.
Blackhole is not content to let Balic control the position.

Blackhole is looking to regain half guard here but Balic keeps moving and retains side control.
Blackhole looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Blackhole tries to control but Balic manages to take his back.
Balic is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Blackhole defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Balic thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Blackhole's corner are yelling at him, telling him to just focus on controlling Balic's hands.
Balic has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Blackhole has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Blackhole keeps trying to improve his position.

Balic is looking to control Blackhole but Blackhole is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Balic is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Blackhole defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Balic is trying to stick to Blackhole's back but Blackhole is turning into Balic. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Balic's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Blackhole.

Blackhole not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Balic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blackhole swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Blackhole's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Balic throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Blackhole tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Balic is in Blackhole's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blackhole can do anything to dispel that myth.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Blackhole holds on and takes a little breather.

Blackhole is continuing to stall.
Blackhole keeping moving, preventing Balic from controlling successfully.
Balic looking to sit in guard and control but Blackhole gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Blackhole keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Balic's head.

Blackhole postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Balic is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Blackhole must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Balic shoots in but no luck this time.
Balic tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blackhole paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Blackhole appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Balic doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Blackhole counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Blackhole cracks Balic with a big right hand but Balic just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Meteor Blackhole will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Blackhole connects with a nice short shot to Balic's temple.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Blackhole lands a nice short elbow.
Balic is rocked!
Blackhole seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Oh Balic is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Blackhole lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Balic quite badly. Balic pulls Blackhole in close trying to recover. Blackhole postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Balic on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Balic doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
