The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rodriguez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dough Nut, pushing him back against the cage.

Dough Nut jumps guard and drags Rodriguez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Rodriguez postures up and lands a big shot to Dough Nut's brow.
Rodriguez is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Rodriguez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dough Nut looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dough Nut looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dough Nut!

Dough Nut tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dough Nut has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dough Nut has control of an arm but Rodriguez manages to advance to Dough Nut's back!

Rodriguez has managed to slip his arm under Dough Nut's chin. This could be all over... yep, Dough Nut is tapping out! Submission win for Rodriguez.
