Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura feints and as Nicholson raises his hands in defense, Nakamura changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Nicholson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Nicholson controlling the action here for a moment.
Nicholson jumps into guard, dragging Nakamura to the mat.

Nicholson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Nicholson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Nakamura bucks up and throws Nicholson to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Nicholson goes for a double leg but Nakamura avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Nakamura continues to drive forward.
Nicholson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nakamura's guard.

Nakamura is wriggling around but Nicholson manages to pass to half guard.
Nakamura makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nakamura.

Nakamura wants to stand but Nicholson is controlling the position.

Nakamura might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nicholson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nakamura misses with a right hand
and Nicholson counters with a nice body kick.
A combination from Nakamura does no damage.
Nakamura closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nicholson quickly recovers to half guard.
Nicholson pushes Nakamura off and gets back to his feet.
Nicholson moves into the clinch successfully.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Nicholson postures up in Nakamura's guard and throws a big left but Nakamura blocks it.
Nicholson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nakamura can do to turn this around?
Nakamura is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Nicholson frees his head nicely. Oh but Nakamura has switched to an armbar! Nicholson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
