And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Garrison enables Rocha to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Garrison manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Garrison really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rocha wanted to stand there but Garrison had control of the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rocha throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Rocha closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Garrison did well to prevent Rocha getting side control.

Rocha looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Garrison with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Well, if Rocha is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Rocha is continuing to stall.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rocha is thwarting Garrison's attempts to control the position.
Rocha is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Garrison tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rocha paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rocha shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rocha was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rocha wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Garrison, who protects the arm well.
Rocha takes a little break here. Garrison wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Garrison is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Pedro Rocha showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rocha is working to tighten his grip on Garrison's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Garrison has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rocha is really squeezing tight and eventually Garrison passes out! Rocha breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
