The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Velho moves out of range of the body kick from Wright.
Velho misses the jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Velho. Wright does a little dance to reset his feet.
Velho looks to land a left hand but Wright moved out of range nicely.

Wright avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wright shoots in but no luck this time.

No luck for Wright with that takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wright tries to clinch but Velho moves away
and Velho counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Jack Wright has been cut.

Wright shoots for a takedown but Velho saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wright lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Velho has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Velho and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Velho was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
No luck for Wright with that takedown attempt.

Wright gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
