The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulin on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Steel darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Paulin has been working on his boxing with his coaches at House of 1000 Corpses in the buildup to the fight.
Steel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Paulin throws an overhand right that lands on Steel's shoulder, as Steel tries to avoid the shot.
Jerome Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steel gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Jerome Steel has been cut.
Paulin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steel moves away.
Steel scores with a jab to the jaw.
Steel avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Paulin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Steel.
Steel lands with a straight right. Paulin didn't see that one coming.
It looks like Thierry Paulin has been cut.
Steel lands a right hook to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Steel throws a combination. Paulin tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Steel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Paulin throws out the jab.
Paulin jabs Steel right on the nose. Steel blinks but takes it well.
Paulin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Steel throws a shot from downtown. Paulin moves away and avoids it.
Paulin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Paulin on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Steel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Paulin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Steel ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Paulin moves away.
Steel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Paulin.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Steel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Paulin manages to avoid it.
Paulin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Paulin moves away from the strike by Steel.
Paulin wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Steel stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Steel misses with a wild body shot.
Paulin lands a nice looking kick to the body. Steel takes a step back to recover.
Paulin lands a big head kick that sends Steel tumbling to the mat! Paulin takes a step backwards and waves Steel back to his feet - he wants the finish!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Paulin tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Paulin circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Steel drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Paulin follows Steel to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
