The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Pitakaka.
Pitakaka tries a head kick but it misses.
Pitakaka misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Elijah Pitakaka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Liaw scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Liaw moves into range and clinches up with Pitakaka.
Pitakaka tries to circle away but Liaw has him pinned against the ropes.

Liaw breaks the clinch.

Liaw instigates a clinch.
Pitakaka is trying to push Liaw away but Liaw has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Liaw has Pitakaka pressed against the ropes, preventing Pitakaka from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Pitakaka wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Liaw breaks from the clinch.
Pitakaka pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pitakaka throws a lazy body kick

and Liaw counters with a perfectly timed counter left hook that drops Pitakaka to the mat, face first! Liaw goes to the neutral corner and waits for the referee to start the count. Pitakaka is back to hise feet already though and looking to continue the bout! Exciting stuff!

Pitakaka is rocked!

It looks like Elijah Pitakaka has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Liaw has closed the distance and engaged Pitakaka in a clinch.
Pitakaka is still on wobbly legs! Can Liaw finish him?

Liaw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pitakaka seems to have recovered his senses.
Liaw ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Pitakaka out cold! The fight is over!
