Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Cathaway (ranked 2197 p4p, 258 weight class) and Floyd Maybetter (ranked 2458 p4p, 286 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Maybetter's choice of entrance music: Don't Stop The Funk. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Cathaway.
Cathaway throws a lazy right hand but Maybetter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Maybetter shoots for a double leg takedown but Cathaway sprawls well. He's pushed Maybetter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Maybetter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Cathaway was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Maybetter sizes up Cathaway with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Maybetter fails to land with a series of punches.

Cathaway dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Maybetter. That did some damage!

Maybetter shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Cathaway fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Maybetter is out of range.

Maybetter walks straight into a right hand from Cathaway - that's dropped him! Cathaway jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Maybetter from any more punishment! Maybetter complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

After the fight, Jimmy Cathaway was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
