Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Spencer Rubenstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Doppo Orochi!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubenstein thows a body kick. Orochi tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Orochi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rubenstein stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Orochi.
Orochi misses the shot to the body.
Orochi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rubenstein sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Orochi misses the jab.
Rubenstein throws a quick counter head kick but Orochi was just out of range.
Rubenstein scores with a hook to the body. Orochi takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Orochi looks winded!
Orochi walks into a left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Orochi thows a left - swing and a miss!
Orochi shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Orochi swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rubenstein.

Orochi only half commits to the counter leg kick.
A shot to the body from Orochi misses
and Rubenstein counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Orochi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rubenstein looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Rubenstein pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rubenstein has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Big Bear Fight Factory in the buildup to the fight.
Rubenstein is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Rubenstein takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Orochi moves forwards but Rubenstein connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Orochi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Orochi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Rubenstein walks into a stiff left hand from Orochi.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Donk. Rubenstein catches Orochi right on the button with a cross.

Rubenstein is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Orochi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Orochi throws the kick towards the body but Rubenstein avoids it.
Orochi misses the shot to the body.
Rubenstein was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Rubenstein misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Orochi.

Rubenstein gets tackled into the cage by Orochi. Orochi maintains the clinch.
Rubenstein is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Orochi tries to work over Rubenstein's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rubenstein misses with some punches.
Orochi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Orochi blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Orochi lands an uppercut.
Rubenstein throws a punch but it's blocked by Orochi.

Rubenstein breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Orochi throws a front kick that sends Rubenstein stumbling back into the cage.
Orochi scores with a jab to the head.
Orochi throws a sloppy head kick and Rubenstein moves out of range easily.
Rubenstein lands a nice shot that snaps Orochi's head back.
A low kick from Orochi misses
and Rubenstein counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Orochi badly! Rubenstein follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Orochi out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Rubenstein finished him against the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Spencer Rubenstein!
During a confident post fight interview, Spencer Rubenstein thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
