Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ronald Dela Rosa (ranked 19774 p4p, 566 weight class) and Carlos Silverio (ranked 4994 p4p, 439 weight class). Silverio has chosen Shiro Sagisu - Angel of Doom as his entrance music. Carlos Silverio acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Silverio circles away from the clinch attempt.
And Silverio tries to counter it with a takedown but Dela Rosa pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Silverio drives through and clinches with Dela Rosa against the ropes.
Dela Rosa is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silverio pulls him back up using the underhooks.
We've been hearing reports that Dela Rosa has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Dela Rosa has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Silverio is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dela Rosa. Dela Rosa tries to lock up and control but Silverio gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Dela Rosa tries to improve his position but Silverio has taken his back! Silverio has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Dela Rosa tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Silverio pushes Dela Rosa away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Carlos Silverio spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant. |
