Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briedis tries to close the distance and clinch but Thirdleg swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Briedis throws a sloppy head kick and Thirdleg moves out of range easily.

Thirdleg closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Briedis's guard.
Briedis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Thirdleg's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Thirdleg wants to pass the guard but Briedis is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thirdleg not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Briedis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Thirdleg is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Briedis to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Briedis shrugs it off.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Thirdleg is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Thirdleg extends the arm and Briedis is forced to tap!
