McDonald comes to the ring accompanied by Ray Wylie Hubbard - Redneck Mother. Brandis is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lynyrd Skynyrd : The Ballad of Curtis Loew. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
It looks like Fletch Brandis has been cut.
McDonald loads up on a big right hand but Brandis slips the punch.
McDonald misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Brandis.
McDonald missing with a left hand there. Brandis was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Brandis is looking to clinch but McDonald is avoiding it.
McDonald throws an off balance right hand
and Brandis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Brandis dodges the punch combination from McDonald.
Brandis darts in and clinches McDonald up against the ropes.
McDonald lands with a short punch from the clinch.
McDonald misses with a punch to the body.
McDonald has a couple of punches blocked by Brandis.
Brandis tries to pull guard but McDonald holds him up against the ropes and eventually Brandis drops back down to his feet.
A nice right hand lands inside from McDonald.
McDonald tries to work over Brandis's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Brandis tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McDonald smiles and moves away.
Brandis leaves his chin hanging out and McDonald seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Brandis crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jim Bob McDonald!
