Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darius Dorsey (ranked 24199 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaxson Newman (ranked 4684 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaxson Newman will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jaxson Newman!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Dorsey gets control of Newman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dorsey will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Newman wants to control from the top but Dorsey keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Newman might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dorsey haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Dorsey is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Dorsey jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Newman walks away with a smile on his face. Dorsey gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Newman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dorsey pinned against the cage. Dorsey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Newman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dorsey closes this distance looking for a takedown but Newman circles away.
Dorsey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Newman sprawls well. Newman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dorsey gets slowly back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Dorsey is pulling down on Newman's head to control his posture.

I would just about give that final round to Jaxson Newman.
Well Dorsey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
