Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Crack Head (ranked 3671 p4p, 381 weight class) and Stick Kingkong (ranked 3211 p4p, 345 weight class). Stick Kingkong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Crack Head!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Stick Kingkong!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head tries for a takedown but Kingkong circles away easily
letting Kingkong counter with a right hand.
Kingkong defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Head.
It seemed like Kingkong was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kingkong misses with a double jab.
Head just misses with a punch to the body.
Kingkong missing with a left hand there. Head was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Head manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kingkong on his heels. He'll look to pass Kingkong's guard now, I'm sure.

Kingkong manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Head tries to throw a body punch but Kingkong avoids it by throwing Head back against the cage.
Kingkong blocks a body shot from Head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kingkong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Crack Head seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kingkong turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Head fails with a takedown attempt.
Kingkong is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Crack Head. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Head throws a leg kick but Kingkong moved away.
Head shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kingkong defends it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kingkong throws a combination. Head tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Kingkong connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kingkong throws the left hand but Head avoids the punch easily.
Head misses with a takedown
and Head takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kingkong displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Head.
Head looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kingkong is fending him off so far but Head persists. Nope, Kingkong circles away and we're back to standing.
Head checks a leg kick nicely.
Head cracks Kingkong with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kingkong tries to bum rush Head with a series of wild strikes but Head uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Head stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kingkong scores with a decent looking hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A nice inside leg kick there by Head. That's going to slow Kingkong down.
Head throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Head scores with a jab to the head.
Head goes for a double leg but Kingkong avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kingkong continues to drive forward.
Kingkong misses with a two punch combination.
Head fails with the takedown.
Kingkong fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Head on the side of the head.
Kingkong is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Head.
An attempted straight right counter from Head misses the target.
Stick Kingkong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Head misses with a takedown
and Kingkong counters with a three punch combo that has Head backing up. Head nods at Kingkong to acknowledge the strikes.


Head is rocked!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Head fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Head throws a body punch but Kingkong moves out of range.
Head misses with a takedown
and Kingkong counters with a huge left! Head is in big trouble! He's backing up but Kingkong isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Head from any more damage. A dominating finish by Kingkong!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stick Kingkong!
Stick Kingkong opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
