Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aiden Steve (ranked 6011 p4p, 427 weight class) and Ilpo Saarela (ranked 6091 p4p, 429 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saarela throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Saarela throws a poor cross that misses
and Steve counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A jab from Saarela misses.
Steve swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Saarela throws a lazy right hand but Steve sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Steve uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Saarela.
Steve appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Saarela tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Steve was well out of range. Poor timing from Saarela.
Steve scores with a jab. Saarela acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Steve connects with a looping right hand.
Saarela moves away from the strike by Steve.
Steve clobbers Saarela with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Ilpo Saarela seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steve scores with a shot to the body.
Steve uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Saarela.

Saarela throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Steve slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

We've been informed that Saarela has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Saarela looks to land a right hand but Steve moved out of range.
Saarela lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Steve slips a jab from Saarela.
Saarela swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Steve connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Saarela is still on wobbly legs! Can Steve finish him?
Saarela throws a poor cross that misses
and Steve counters with a stiff right hand.

Steve ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Steve closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Saarela! Steve dives in looking to finish! Saarela is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
