The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badass shoots in for a takedown but Castaneda shows good takedown defense.
Castaneda seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Castaneda tries to sprawl but Badass drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Badass with the ground and pound but Castaneda uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Badass wants to control from the top but Castaneda keeps moving.
Castaneda working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Badass.
Castaneda manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Badass manages to get himself to full guard.

Castaneda stands up and waves to Badass to follow him.

Castaneda closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Badass is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Castaneda is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
