Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Tropper (ranked 3077 p4p, 347 weight class) and Justice Carter (ranked 3384 p4p, 374 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Tropper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justice Carter!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter throws a push kick but Tropper slaps the foot to one side.
Tropper takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Tropper closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Tropper dodges the punch combination from Carter.

Carter shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tropper manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Tropper wants to sweep but no luck.
Carter trying to control but Tropper is working from the bottom.
Tropper is trying to keep Carter in close.
Tropper seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Tropper bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carter's guard.

Tropper keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Carter's head.

Our spies down at at The Forge inform us that Carter has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Tropper looking to sit in guard and control but Carter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Tropper has momentary wrist control but Carter slips an elbow through the middle.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tropper gets back to full guard.
Carter with a flurry of punches that miss.

Tropper is looking to advance position but Carter has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Carter seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Carter slips a nice elbow through Tropper's hands, connecting with Tropper's forehead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tropper is looking to improve his position.

Carter is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Carter connects with a nice short shot to Tropper's temple.

Carter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Carter is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Carter thows a huge punch but Tropper dodges it nicely.
Carter seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tropper does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Tropper is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Justice Carter dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Carter shoots in looking for a takedown. Tropper tries to sprawl out of it but Carter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tropper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Carter throws a leg kick but Tropper sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Tropper swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Carter.

Carter clinches up against the cage.

Tropper breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tropper fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carter manages to avoid it.
Tropper swats away the attempt to clinch by Carter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carter moves into the clinch.
Carter tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tropper creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Tropper works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Tropper lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Tropper lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Tropper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tropper scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Carter doesn't seem bothered though.
Nice takedown defense from Tropper. No joy for Carter on that attempt.
Carter throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tropper counters with a nice uppercut.
Carter tries to clinch up.
It looked like Tropper was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Justice Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tropper's sensitive parts.
Carter fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Tropper checks it well.
Tropper went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Tropper throws a body punch but Carter moves out of range.
Tropper throws a body shot but no joy.

Carter has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tropper works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Nick Tropper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Carter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tropper slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Carter swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tropper counters with a straight right hand.
That kick from Carter tenderised Tropper's leg. Tropper is trying to keep his angry face on.

Carter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Carter misses with a looping left.
Sloppy strikes from Tropper. Those never looked like landing.
Tropper uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Carter has time to react.

Tropper scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Tropper feints with a jab and clips Carter right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Carter is sent crashing into the canvas and Tropper leaps in for the kill! Carter tries to get to his feet but Tropper is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Carter is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Tropper!
