The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hakekia is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down De Barros's shoulder. That is not cool.
De Barros is looking to regain half guard here but Hakekia keeps moving and retains side control.

Hakekia stands up.
De Barros will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hakekia throws a fast counter high kick but De Barros manages to duck under it in time.
Hakekia blocks a low kick nicely.
De Barros displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hakekia throws out the jab.
