Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joey Simone (ranked 1961 p4p, 259 weight class) and Seamus Coleman (ranked 1005 p4p, 142 weight class). Simone's entrance music is Shakewell - Leglock. A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Coleman blocks the leg kick.
Coleman looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Coleman feints and then cracks Simone's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Simone down.

Simone gets control of Coleman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Simone will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Simone has hold of Coleman's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Coleman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Simone has control of Coleman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Coleman regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joey Simone.
