The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers has a takedown stuffed.
Rivers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Williams is fending him off so far but Rivers persists. Nope, Williams circles away and we're back to standing.
Williams looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Williams content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Williams trying to control the action but Rivers is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Williams is taking a breather. Rivers says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Williams tries to stand and escape but Rivers is controlling the position.
Rivers manages to get to full guard.
Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Williams would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Rivers will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Williams wants to stand but Rivers has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Rivers doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Williams drops back looking for a leg! Rivers is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rivers manages to kick Williams off! Williams jumps back into Rivers's guard.
Williams decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rivers, up you get!
Williams throws a series of punches but Rivers moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Rivers on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Williams manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rivers on his heels. He'll look to pass Rivers's guard now, I'm sure.
Williams stands up and waves to Rivers to follow him.
Williams moves into the clinch.
Williams prevents a body shot from Rivers.
Williams breaks the clinch.
Williams shoots in and bounces Rivers off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Rivers wants to hit a switch here but Williams passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Rivers there!
Rivers is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.

Rivers keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Williams with shots to the head and body - Rivers looks very uncomfortable down there.
Rivers is rocked!
Williams lands a big elbow - Rivers is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Rivers is forced to tap out!
