The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ewing moves out of range of the body kick from Stapleton.
Stapleton manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ewing on his heels. He'll look to pass Ewing's guard now, I'm sure.
Stapleton won't allow Ewing to get back to his feet.
Stapleton content to stall in guard here.
Stapleton slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Stapleton wants to stand but Ewing is controlling his arm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stapleton has hold of Ewing's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Ewing tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Stapleton cranks the arm and Ewing screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ewing, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
