enabling Alzado to counter with a crisp jab.

Vipunen throws a push kick but Alzado slaps the foot to one side.
Alzado avoids a punch combination nicely.

Alzado has taken the fight to the clinch.
Our sources have told us that Alzado has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Vipunen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alzado fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vipunen looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Vipunen motions for Alzado to come forward. Vipunen throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Alzado tries to clinch but Vipunen moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alzado closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vipunen did well to prevent Alzado getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Alzado stands up over Vipunen, holding on to his feet. Alzado throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Vipunen is out cold! Alzado lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
