Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vaai Finau (ranked 4034 p4p, 444 weight class) and Paul Rabbitte (ranked 3894 p4p, 431 weight class). Paul Rabbitte has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Rabbitte!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finau cracks the inside of Rabbitte's front leg.
Finau buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Finau throws an overhand right that lands on Rabbitte's shoulder, as Rabbitte tries to avoid the shot.
Finau scores with a jab to the head.
Finau fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rabbitte on the side of the head.
It looks like Paul Rabbitte has been cut.
Rabbitte has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Finau.
Finau looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Finau gets a double leg takedown into Rabbitte's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rabbitte avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Rabbitte is fighting to break Finau's control of his arms but Finau is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Rabbitte must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Rabbitte postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Finau pulls Rabbitte in close to prevent any damage.

Finau has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Finau is working Rabbitte over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Finau misses with a few strikes there.
Finau works the jab nicely.
Finau lands with a kick to the temple. Rabbitte shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Finau takes a swing at Rabbitte's ribcage but misses.
Rabbitte is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Finau with a body shot.
Finau connects with a nice looking jab.
Finau doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Finau throws a head kick that half lands.
Finau slips a straight right by Rabbitte.
Finau tries a head kick but it misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rabbitte throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Finau swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Rabbitte tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Finau misses with a straight left.
Rabbitte lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Finau shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rabbitte is trying to defend but Finau finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Finau is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Finau lands with a punch from half guard.
Finau wants to control but Rabbitte is keeping him busy.
Finau takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Finau landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rabbitte looks like he's trying to stand up.
Finau wants to control but Rabbitte is keeping him busy.
Rabbitte felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Finau winds up and cracks Rabbitte with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Finau stops Rabbitte from getting back to his feet.
Finau is nestled in close to Rabbitte, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Finau drops an elbow to the side of Rabbitte's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Finau looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rabbitte with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Finau lands a nice short elbow.

That has opened up Paul Rabbitte's cut even more.
Finau lands a big elbow - Rabbitte is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Finau!
