PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Sins (ranked 3506 p4p, 297 weight class) and Myles Brady (ranked 3539 p4p, 302 weight class). Brady has chosen Aaron Lewis - Country Boy as his entrance music. Johnny Sins has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Myles Brady!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sins throws a hook to the side of Brady's head but Brady sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Sins looks to land a combination but Brady avoids it well.

Sins gets caught flat footed, as Brady shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Brady stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sins swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brady keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sins's head.

Brady avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Brady slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Sins wants to stand up but Brady is controlling him.

It looks like Brady might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Brady takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
You get the feeling that Sins really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Brady has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sins's face.

Brady wants to work for an arm triangle but Sins is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Myles Brady has got the better of the ground game so far.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sins misses with an uppercut.
Brady with the counter takedown but Sins avoids it easily.
Sins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Johnny Sins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sins moves in looking to clinch but Brady pushes him off.
Brady wants to counter the offense by Sins and move into the clinch position.
Sins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brady tries to avoid it but Sins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brady to the ground. Brady escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Brady has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

Brady drives through with a takedown into Sins's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Let's hope that Brady has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Myles Brady showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Sins shoots in looking for a takedown. Brady tries to sprawl out of it but Sins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brady manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Brady is trying to trip Sins. He has hold of a leg but Sins is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Brady persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Sins takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Sins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brady has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sins has managed to get both his arms back between Brady's legs - danger averted.
