Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Seehaver (ranked 1142 p4p, 139 weight class) and Al Swearengen (ranked 3615 p4p, 373 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Seehaver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Al Swearengen!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seehaver walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Seehaver looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kyle Seehaver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Swearengen throws a shot from downtown. Seehaver moves away and avoids it.
Seehaver attempts a counter takedown but Swearengen avoids it well and moves away.
Seehaver takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Seehaver fails with a takedown attempt.
Seehaver fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Seehaver. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Swearengen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've been told by Seehaver's head coaches at JAG Battle Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Swearengen lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Swearengen counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Seehaver thinking.
Seehaver has his takedown stuffed
and Swearengen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Swearengen lands a jab to Seehaver's midsection.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Seehaver takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Seehaver shoots for a double leg takedown but Swearengen sprawls well. He's pushed Seehaver's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A little jabbing left from Swearengen on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Swearengen lands a jab to the head.


Seehaver is rocked!
Seehaver walks straight into a right hand from Swearengen - that's dropped him! Swearengen jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Seehaver from any more punishment! Seehaver complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Al Swearengen!
Al Swearengen seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
