Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franky Yip (ranked 2215 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Cable (ranked 22122 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Franky Yip!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Anthony Cable!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Yip drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cable gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Yip has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Cable clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Yip is persistently looking for the submission but Cable is defending it well.

Yip jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Cable is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Cable and Yip has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cable is concentrating on defense, preventing Yip from advancing position.

Yip looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cable with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Cable throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cable throws out a loose jab but Yip uses good head movement to avoid it.
Yip swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

After the fight, Franky Yip was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
