Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Light Bright (ranked 4647 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drake Blaze (ranked 4404 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Light Bright has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Light Bright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Drake Blaze!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaze slips a jab and a cross from Bright.
Blaze tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Blaze tries to sprawl but Bright drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Bright is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Blaze wants to get back to full guard but Bright has mounted him!
Bright can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Blaze is looking to escape.
Blaze tries to hold on but Bright pushes him away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bright tries for a kimura but Blaze is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bright really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bright is looking to take a break and control but Blaze is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Blaze tries to buck Bright off but Bright is having none of it.
Blaze wants to control but Bright postures up.

Bright is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Blaze has escaped the position, nice work there.
Blaze is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Blaze is staying active underneath Bright, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Light Bright dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Bright lands a nice hook to Blaze's body. Blaze takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Light Bright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bright is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Blaze's half guard.
Blaze is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bright's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bright's back!

Bright got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blaze has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bright has managed to get both his arms back between Blaze's legs - danger averted.

Bright is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Blaze is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Blaze has escaped and now he's on top!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Blaze drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bright manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Blaze has Bright in his guard.


That's one minute gone in the round.

Blaze escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bright gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bright got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blaze has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bright has managed to get both his arms back between Blaze's legs - danger averted.

Bright drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blaze looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blaze looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blaze!


Blaze is working to tighten his grip on Bright's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bright has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Blaze is really squeezing tight and eventually Bright passes out! Blaze breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Drake Blaze!
