Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Ogus (ranked 6071 p4p, 0 weight class) and Italo Giobbe (ranked 3881 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giobbe shoots in for a takedown but Ogus shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ogus moves into the clinch successfully.
Ogus's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Giobbe wants to take the fight to the mat but Ogus manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Giobbe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ogus but Ogus pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jeff Ogus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Italo Giobbe.

As Giobbe looks to move away, Ogus throws a big counter combo but Giobbe just gets out of the way.
Ogus could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Giobbe tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ogus manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ogus tries for a takedown but Giobbe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Giobbe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ogus pinned against the cage. Ogus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ogus seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Giobbe wants to control from the top but Ogus keeps moving.
Ogus on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ogus tries to get out of the position.
Giobbe postures up and lands a big shot to Ogus's brow.
Ogus wants to stand and escape but Giobbe is having none of it.
Ogus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Giobbe on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Giobbe passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ogus is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Giobbe has latched onto it... Big trouble! Giobbe pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Ogus is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Giobbe!
