Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chief Foot (ranked 2812 p4p, 275 weight class) and Marcelinho Lima (ranked 7102 p4p, 494 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foot clinches up with Lima and pushes him back against the cage.
Foot lands a right hand that snaps the head of Lima backwards.
Lima creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Lima is working for takedown but Foot is calmly controlling the position for now.
A nice left hand lands by Foot.
Foot swings wildly with an uppercut but Lima uses good head movement to avoid it.
Our sources have told us that Foot has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Foot lands a right hand.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lima has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Lima tries to pull guard but Foot holds him up against the cage and eventually Lima drops back down to his feet.
Lima goes for a takedown in the clinch but Foot prevents it.
Chief Foot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcelinho Lima.

Lima has clasped his hands together around Foot's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Foot pushes Lima away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lima gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Foot bucks up and tries to throw Lima off but instead Lima has got his back!

Foot is trying to get back to his feet but Lima has full control of the position and if anything, Foot has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Lima is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Foot with him. Foot is trying to defend but Lima has an arm under the chin now! Foot grimaces and is forced to tap out!
