PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fightah Numbah Three (ranked 24409 p4p, 517 weight class) and Requis Bently (ranked 24555 p4p, 532 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Requis Bently was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Fightah Numbah Three!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Requis Bently!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Numbah Three looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bently lands a head kick. Numbah Three smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Fightah Numbah Three has been cut.

Numbah Three drives through and clinches with Bently against the cage.

Numbah Three is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bently can't fight it off and eventually Numbah Three manages to take the fight to the floor. Bently looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bently utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bently is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Numbah Three loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Numbah Three keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bently's head.

Bently throws his legs up looking for a submission but Numbah Three uses it to pass to side control.
Numbah Three scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Bently to see if he's OK.
Bently wants to control but Numbah Three postures up.
Numbah Three grinds an elbow into Bently's temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Numbah Three cracks Bently with a big elbow.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Numbah Three is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Bently is trying to escape and Numbah Three transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Bently is forced to tap! Nice work there by Numbah Three! Very nice indeed!
