Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Funky Colemadina (ranked 3077 p4p, 155 weight class) and Bernie Sanders (ranked 2060 p4p, 119 weight class). Colemadina's entrance music is immortal by adema. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Funky Colemadina!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bernie Sanders!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Colemadina misses with a series of wild punches.

Colemadina has closed the distance and engaged Sanders in a clinch.
Sanders will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Colemadina up against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Sanders.
Sanders fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Sanders digs a right hand underneath Colemadina's ribcage. Colemadina let out a lung full of air as it connected.
A left hand lands to the body for Colemadina.

Sanders is trying to trip Colemadina. He has hold of a leg but Colemadina is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Sanders persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Colemadina wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sanders manages to pass to side control.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sanders has hold of Colemadina's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Colemadina manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Sanders jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Colemadina manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Colemadina seems a little lost for a moment, as Sanders dominates the positioning.
Sanders creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Colemadina sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Sanders wants to control but Colemadina is keeping him busy.
Sanders tries to score with some ground and pound. Colemadina controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Sanders takes a little break here. Colemadina wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Sanders misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Colemadina shoots in looking for a takedown but Sanders manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Colemadina's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Colemadina tries to pull guard but Sanders holds him up against the cage and eventually Colemadina drops back down to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
