Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kiril Bohizdar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Nordquist!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Nordquist.
Bohizdar stops Nordquist from passing to mount.
Bohizdar is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Nordquist has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice defenses there by Nordquist.
Nordquist shapes to counter with a head kick.
Nordquist fails with a takedown attempt.

Nordquist takes the fight into the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nordquist misses with a hook to the ribs.
Nordquist struggles to land a body shot inside as Bohizdar controls his hands.
Nordquist lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bohizdar backwards.
Nordquist scores with a shoulder strike.
Bohizdar definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Nordquist tries a body shot but Bohizdar blocks it.
Nordquist lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Nordquist throws a head punch that misses.
Nordquist pushes Bohizdar back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Nordquist tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Nordquist pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nordquist is defended easily by Bohizdar.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nordquist moves out of range as Bohizdar strikes.

Nordquist is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bohizdar's half guard.
Bohizdar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nordquist on the ground.
Nordquist is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bohizdar!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nordquist is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bohizdar can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Nordquist get's back to his feet.
Bohizdar misses with a hook. Nordquist ducked under it nicely.
Nordquist shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kiril Bohizdar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Nordquist.
Nordquist cracks Bohizdar with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Nordquist tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bohizdar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nordquist somewhat.

Nordquist darts in and clinches Bohizdar up against the cage.
Nordquist lands a shoulder strike.

Nordquist's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
John Nordquist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nordquist gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Bohizdar lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!


It looks like John Nordquist has been cut.
Nordquist lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Bohizdar with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Nordquist works on Bohizdar's body with a couple of short punches.
Nordquist throws a head punch that misses.
Nordquist scores with a shoulder strike.

Nordquist pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nordquist shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bohizdar throws a sloppy head kick and Nordquist moves out of range easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bohizdar takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Bohizdar scores with a jab to the jaw.


Nordquist is rocked!
Bohizdar cracks Nordquist with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kiril Bohizdar!
During a confident post fight interview, Kiril Bohizdar thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
