Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Maia (ranked 4700 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 6253 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jonathan Maia has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jonathan Maia seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Maia changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maia stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Maia drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jones manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Maia has Jones in his guard.
Maia working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Jones has passed into half guard!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maia is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily.

Maia has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Jones is in real trouble here. Maia gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Jones is tapping out! Maia wins by rear naked choke!
