The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Britton avoids a kick to the body.
Hunt throws a sloppy head kick and Britton moves out of range easily.
Britton just misses with a punch to the body.
Nice sprawl there from Hunt as Britton shoots in.
Hunt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Britton moves away.
Britton scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Britton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hunt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Hunt throws a right and a left that both miss.
Matt Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Hunt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A little feinted left hand from Britton on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Britton has been working on his balance at Holding Cell, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Hunt.

and Britton connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Matt Hunt has been cut.
Hunt misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
It looked like Britton was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Hunt.
Hunt throws a right hand that Britton ducks under and follows up with a left that Britton also avoids with ease.
Britton was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A decent looking cross lands there for Britton.

Hunt looks winded!

and Britton counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Britton throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hunt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hunt walks into a stiff left hand from Britton.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Britton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hunt to the mat! Hunt manages to get full guard.
Britton chips away with some ground and pound.

Hunt is rocked!

That has opened up Matt Hunt's cut even more.

Matt Hunt's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Matt Hunt's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

A relieved looking Tel Britton thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
