Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fuk Yu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Badau Aguiar!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aguiar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Yu trying to control the position.

Aguiar drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Yu manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Aguiar has Yu in his guard.

Aguiar wants to sweep here but Yu controlling him for the moment.

Aguiar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yu throws a big right hand that misses.
Aguiar looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Aguiar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Aguiar is looking to stand up but Yu isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yu won't allow Aguiar to sweep him here.
Yu has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Aguiar is proving hard to escape from.
Aguiar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yu manages to get himself to full guard.

Aguiar drops back, looking for a kneebar! Yu looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Yu looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Yu!

Yu decides to stand up, so the ref orders Aguiar to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Aguiar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Yu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Aguiar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Aguiar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Yu manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Yu kicks Aguiar off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Yu lands with a nice combination. Aguiar backs away looking to recover.
Yu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Aguiar gets a takedown into half guard.

Aguiar trying to work for an americana but Yu has managed to regain full guard.

Aguiar is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Yu manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Aguiar manages to get himself to full guard.

Yu has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Aguiar to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Yu is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Aguiar pulls down on the head and he's put Yu to sleep! This one is all over!
