Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Seth Keller (ranked 6466 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Dee (ranked 5908 p4p, 479 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Seth Keller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Dee!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dee manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Keller on his heels. He'll look to pass Keller's guard now, I'm sure.
Keller is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Dee wants to control from the top but Keller keeps moving.
Dee is looking to advance position but Keller has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Dee is desperately trying to improve his position but Keller has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Keller looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dee is trying to reverse the position but instead Keller has taken his back - oops!

Dee is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Keller gets his way!

Dee is trying to get back to his feet but Keller has full control of the position and if anything, Dee has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Keller has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Dee has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Dee rolls, trying to escape but Keller keeps control of the position.

Keller is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Dee has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Dee turns into Keller and is now in his guard.

Keller is looking for a triangle but Dee pushes his legs off easily.
Keller striking off his back but it's not causing Dee any problems.

Keller throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Dee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Keller really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dee might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Keller haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Dee shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Keller napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Keller manages to get back to half guard.
Dee is looking to advance position but Keller won't allow it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Keller is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Keller fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dee, pushing him back against the cage.

Dee lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Keller or not.
Keller throws a head punch that misses.

Dee pulls guard effortlessly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Keller connects with a couple of short punches.
Keller throws a big right hand that misses.
Keller stands up over Dee, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Keller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Keller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Keller loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Keller is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dee defends it well.

Keller is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dee sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dee wants to control but Keller is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Keller is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dee has managed to free his arm - good work.
Dee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Keller is working away from the top position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Dee scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Dee goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Keller rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dee's guard! Nice work there by Keller!

Keller connects with a couple of short punches.
Dee has momentary wrist control but Keller slips an elbow through the middle.
Keller is looking to work some ground and pound but Dee has wrist control.
Keller lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Keller stands up over Dee, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Keller lands a couple of elbows.
Keller content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Dee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Keller defends it easily.
Keller is in close to Dee's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Keller lands a couple of elbows.
Keller postures up and lands a big shot to Dee's brow.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Keller throws a series of punches but Dee moves out of range.
Keller sets himself, and Dee steps forward looking for the clinch! Keller avoids it this time.
John Dee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dee pushes Keller off but Keller dives into side control.

Dee loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Keller is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dee tries to clinch
and Keller counters with a straight right hand.

Dee fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Keller sprawls well initially but Dee persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Keller kicks Dee off and gets back to his feet.
Dee throws a leg kick
and Keller counters with a three punch combo that has Dee backing up. Dee nods at Keller to acknowledge the strikes.

Keller moves into the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Keller looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Dee jumps into guard, dragging Keller to the mat.
Dee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Dee lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Keller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Keller throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Keller thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Dee trying to control the position from guard on top but Keller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Keller looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

And that's the end of the fight!
Seth Keller showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Keller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
