Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Peterson (ranked 5838 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Rambo (ranked 5933 p4p, 0 weight class). John Rambo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Rambo!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rambo works Peterson's body with a nice hook.
Rambo shoots in for a takedown but Peterson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rambo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Peterson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rambo has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Peterson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Rambo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Peterson as he jumps to the side.
Mike Peterson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Rambo.
Rambo doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Peterson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Peterson passes Rambo's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Rambo trying to control but Peterson postures up.
Peterson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Peterson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Rambo tries to kick Peterson off in order to stand up. Peterson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Rambo is letting Peterson control him for a moment.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rambo is trying to work for a sweep but Peterson has mounted him!
Peterson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Rambo is trying to reverse the position but instead Peterson has taken his back - oops!

Peterson has got one arm under Rambo's chin. This could be trouble... Rambo trying to control the other hand but Peterson gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Rambo has tapped out! The fight is over!
