Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noel Johnson (ranked 4629 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darrel Roscoe (ranked 24642 p4p, 0 weight class). Darrel Roscoe is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in for a double leg but Roscoe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Roscoe ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Roscoe no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Johnson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Johnson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Roscoe looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Roscoe looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Roscoe!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Roscoe creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Johnson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
