Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arod Doyea (ranked 889 p4p, 119 weight class) and Devon Malcolm (ranked 784 p4p, 102 weight class). Doyea's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Doc Holiday - Volbeat. The key to victory for Arod Doyea has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Arod Doyea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Devon Malcolm!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doyea is looking to clinch but Malcolm is avoiding it.

Doyea fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Malcolm, pushing him back against the cage.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Malcolm.

Malcolm breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A jab from Doyea finds it's way through Malcolm's defenses.

Doyea has closed the distance and engaged Malcolm in a clinch.

Malcolm decides to pull guard.
Doyea wanted to stand there but Malcolm had control of the position.
Malcolm tries to land a sweep but no joy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

It looks like Arod Doyea has been cut.

Malcolm turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Malcolm manages to end up in side control.

Doyea wants to improve his position but Malcolm is controlling well.

Malcolm wants to take a breather but Doyea is having none of it.
Doyea pushes Malcolm off looking to stand but Malcolm dives back in and keeps control.
Doyea has hold of Malcolm's hands but Malcolm slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Malcolm is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Malcolm winds up and cracks Doyea with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Doyea is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Malcolm seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Doyea wants to stand back up but Malcolm manages to pass into side control.

Doyea is trying to control Malcolm's posture but Malcolm avoids it.

Malcolm remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Malcolm cracks Doyea with a big right hand but Doyea just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Malcolm throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Doyea tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Malcolm is in Doyea's guard.

Doyea looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Malcolm has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Doyea escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Malcolm gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Doyea throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Doyea manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Doyea pushes a forearm under Malcolm's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Malcolm is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Arod Doyea!
Arod Doyea tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
