The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Usikov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Loel. That did some damage!
Usikov throws a body kick that misses.
Loel was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Usikov lands with a thumping leg kick.
Loel missing with a left hand there. Usikov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Usikov throws a good cross that connects.
Nice uppercut lands for Usikov. That snapped Loel's head back.
Usikov throws a body shot but no joy.

No joy there for Loel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Usikov does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Loel connects with a right hand. Usikov shakes it off.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Usikov throws a sloppy head kick and Loel moves out of range easily.
Usikov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Loel lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Usikov backs up against the cage.

Alexander Usikov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
