Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chadwick Kemp (ranked 24609 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Williams (ranked 4645 p4p, 0 weight class). Jim Williams will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Williams!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams thuds his right hand into Kemp's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The crowd cheers as Williams lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kemp doesn't seem phased though.
A jab from Williams finds it's way through Kemp's defenses.
Kemp doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Williams connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Williams throws out a powerful jab.
Williams lands a body shot.
Kemp gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Williams counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Williams throws a right and a left that Kemp avoids nicely.
Kemp could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kemp looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Williams leaves Kemp with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
As Kemp backs off Williams throws a huge counter combo but Kemp manages to avoid it all.

Williams scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kemp doesn't seem bothered though.

Williams avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Williams wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Williams connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kemp. Kemp circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Williams lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Kemp walks into a jab.
Chadwick Kemp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams lands a right hook to the body.
Kemp takes a body punch but keeps moving.

and Williams counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Williams counters with a stiff right hand.

Williams scores with a one two! Kemp had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Kemp might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kemp shoots in but no luck this time.
Williams stuffs the takedown attempt from Kemp. Kemp gets slowly back to his feet.

Williams lands with a nice combination. Kemp backs away looking to recover.
Williams digs a good body shot into Kemp's ribs.

and Williams counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Williams jabs Kemp right on the nose. Kemp blinks but takes it well.
Kemp changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Williams tries to avoid it but Kemp manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Williams to the ground. Williams escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kemp has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Williams finds it's way round the side to connect with Kemp's head.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kemp or perhaps it was just good defense by Williams, which made it look bad.
Kemp takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kemp has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Williams works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Kemp dives in for a single leg takedown but Williams sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Williams let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Williams uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kemp has time to react.
Williams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Williams lands a lovely overhand right.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kemp shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Kemp's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Williams! But no joy.

Jim Williams is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Williams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
